Cameo

This collection from 2014, are figurative and portrait acrylic works with layered screenprinting and painting on canvas-wrapped hardwood panels. The subjects range from anonymous silhouettes women to Rita Hayworth and there's even an aloe printed aloe plant portrait. The collection features deconstructed figures and backgrounds.

This was a transitional body of work for me. I was developing a new process of layering painting and screenprint, which I continue to use today, but these are the first works using that method. I was also beginning to transition away from figurative work, which I had been focusing on for the previous 10 years. You can see the shift to including objects and even text in the work.

Something Real

A series of acrylic paintings with screen printed inky aloe plants and deconstructed chain backgrounds. After moving to California, I'm increasingly inspired by the desert, local landscape, and flora.

These pieces have sold, but I have prints of these available in my print shop and products featuring these works in my Society6 shop.
